
DriveNC.gov is the Department of Transportation’s Traveler Information website. It provides up-to-date information about road conditions, closures, construction and more, plus vital travel details during emergency conditions.
How To Use DriveNC.gov
- Locate the DriveNC Website: Go to DriveNC.gov.
- Set the Focus: Initially, the map will show incidents in your county.
- Search for a Specific Area: If you want to view information about a different area, use the search box at the top to enter the name of a city, county, region, or route (e.g., I-40, US-421).
- Filter the Map:
- Data Layers: Use the data layers panel on the left side of the screen to control which data is displayed on the map.
- Map Pins: Use the map pins panel on the left to choose which types of incidents, roads, or events you want to see.
- View Active Incidents: The table below the map displays all active incidents in North Carolina.
- Search the Incident Table: You can search the incident table by entering keywords in the search box.
