NCDOT operations to continue

RALEIGH – Due to the possibility of bad weather, officials have postponed this week’s planned closing of the N.C. Department of Transportation’s central office.

Officials had planned to shut down power to the building from April 10-13 to perform testing of a generator.

But a forecast calling for possible storms prompted officials to reschedule the testing until April 24-27. The new testing dates are also dependent on weather. All NCDOT operations will continue during the outage, but the office at 1 S. Wilmington St. in Raleigh will be closed to all employees and visitors.
